I know I'm picky, but it's "TVs", not "TV's".
It's ok to be picky. If my english is wrong I want somebody to correct me.
This was a silly little mistake.
In the video, they say that plasma tvs display 1 million colors. This is nothing. 32 bit color (the highest available, which has been standard for years on computer monitors and should be on HDTVS, and is different from say 64 bit processing ala the N64) is 24 million colors.
Get an HDTV.
I think this video might be a few years old.
If anybody is looking for an HDTV I say go for the Plasma. They almost always have a better picture quality than LCD TVs and much higher contrast.
Old Plasma TVs used to have some problems like burn in, but the new ones are not supposed to have any problems like that anymore.
Spent about 3 hours in the store, getting the guy to put all the screens next to one another, put all the settings to the same, and had them all play dvd, blu ray, normal tv, and digital tv...plasma is superior in almost every way to lcd's.
The only downside is the reflection on the panel, LCD's dont have that...but it shouldnt be an issue if you light the room right.
