neither, is the answer to the question, for anyone bright enough to listen, look ,and leave yer bull shit emotions and politics out of it, that should be the only answer....
That's specualtion--overly charitable speculation, given what I saw in the video.
"leave yer bull shit emotions and politics out of it"
Yeah, because there can never be rational reasons to be angry. This was cruelty, plain and simple. And maybe that doesn't bother you, choggie, but it pisses me the fuck off. Why is it cruelty? Because when you're living in a city where you can't get clean water--which is NECESSARY FOR LIFE, mind you--someone taunting you with the fact that they have water, and feigning like they're going to give it to you (only to throw it on the ground like you're a dog) is cruel.
If it's candy or something, or the boy has at least as good a shot of finding the water somewhere else, then it's just "boys having fun." Otherwise, it's sadistic. So kiss my ass with all the "don't let your emotions get involved" crap.
In response to your response. Only animals would vote against this video. I posted this video with that title simply to encourage people to think. Nothing more. I wanted them to judge the video for themselves. I strongly encourage both LadyBug and farhad2000 to reconsider their votes against this video. It's said that when you assume something you make a ASS out of yoU and ME.
personally I think the soldiers who did that should be forced to recenact it (taking the roles of the kids) on a daily basis for at least a month - scaled up, of course. a daily 1 mile dead sprint for their lunch seems fair. Though perhaps with the truck chasing them.
And leave ladybug and farvie alone. They're only guilty for being heavy hearted after watching something like this.
Ironic how all this reminds me of the whole 'are you for the war or against the war' debate tactics where if you sympathize with Iraqis you're a terrorist!
Same thing here except if you upvoted this, you're a inhumane animal!
xD oh the irony irony irony.
.
And to the person who brought up Karma and IED's ... well maybe it is just the opposite and that this is the KIDS punishment side of karma for setting those in the first place ... haha
...For all those people taking everything seriously, you should have a field day with my post
You can be astonishing consistent in how often you're wrong with the facts, you know that?
oh and the sun rotates around the earth.
Jeez, unsung hero, blame the victim much?
Do you really think that kid would've run that far if he wasn't absolutely desperate for clean water? And do you really think twelve-year-old kids are the ones setting explosives? (flipside of that, of course, is if they keep being treated like that by soldiers, damn right they're gonna throw rocks at them. I would too.
Can't believe anyone upvoted this.
ok maybe I'm missing something here, because I voted for this I support this activity? Or because I voted for this, I think this video should be seen?
Or should we downvote stuff like this? Ohhh nobody should see this...
i am certainly not naive to the ways of the world ... besides dealing with common mental illnesses, as a psych nurse i treat murderers, rapists, kidnappers, and child molesters every single day ... i certainly don't come home and relay any of their stories for posterity's sake because i think that someone in my family would benefit from hearing it.
i don't think this is something that should be propagated, ergo there is no need for me to reconsider my vote. i don't need to see acts of cruelty to give me pause for thought, i'm well aware of the world we live in.
anyway ... off to better things!
yeah, it's bad, it's wrong, but IT IS REALITY.
face it.
you may not like it, you may prefer not to watch it, and it's a perfectly reasonable choice.
PS: ROTFLMAO @ Harry
