At least everyone ended up okay save their pride. By the looks of it the whole attempt and rescue was doomed from the beginning. If they had a competent throw bagger set up, and one person coordinating the guys rescue, then he would have been pulled out of there pretty quickly. If they had scouted it properly, and seen there was a BIG pull back into the hole, then the stupid guy wouldn't have thrown his paddle away.
